What Movie Best Describes Your Life?

What Movie Best Describes Your Life?

If the question above has you stumped, you might try this: if someone made a movie about you, what would the name of it be? Or better yet, if you wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?

On a good day, I’d be Jimmy Stewart in “It’s a Wonderful Life,” which I wrote about in this Wisdom Well post from the early days of the pandemic. On my more trying days, I’d be Woody Allen in “Annie Hall.”

While we can’t rewrite the existing pages of our lives, we do have the ability to reframe them and develop a new narrative about our character’s evolution. Maybe it’s time to write your own book. Just start with “Once Upon a Time” and see where it takes you.

One of our most popular MEA guest faculty members (and a Baja neighbor) is Vanessa Inn, who has spent more than three decades working with famous Hollywood writers, musicians, and artists as they reframe their stories. She’s co-leading a workshop in January called “Leading from your Essence” that will help you explore your past and future story. Check it out.

In the meantime, keep creating your story! And, here’s a video on our Ranch where many films have been shot.
