Based on MEA’s highly successful The Making of a Modern Elder curriculum, learn how to become a true modern elder. As curious as you are wise. Open to learning new skills. An optimist who brings humanity to a world increasingly ruled by technology.

Discover how to flourish well in later life. At the Modern Elder Academy, we believe that wisdom is shared and not taught. Connect with other curious modern elders; share and learn in small online cohorts.

Facilitate your own ‘life edit’. Start the process of discarding what doesn’t serve you anymore, and consciously curating the remainder of your life. Strengthen your capacity for curiosity, adaptability and resilience. Learn from the Blue Zones research into longevity. Design and articulate the storyline for your best later life. Identify how to cultivate and harvest wisdom, gravitas and levity at the same time.

Online sessions are programmed each morning with course content designed to inspire you, as well as facilitated break-out discussions in your small cohort. The afternoons are designed for individual reflective activities, absorbing new material and one-one-one conversations on the morning’s content.

Ahead of the workshop, you will receive a course workbook and a call to familiarise you with Zoom and its key features. There will also be support available by phone throughout the conduct of the workshop.
